JVC SP-97 12" - 3 Way Loudspeaker System 1990s - Floor Standing - Tested
JVC Digital Performance SP-97 12" - 3 Way Loudspeaker System - Floor Standing - Tested by DALAUDIO and found to be in working condition. All components work as they should. The cabinets are decent and do show some signs of use consistent with age. The overall physical condition if about 7.5 some of the edges as shown in photos have wear. The grills do not have a single tear or hole. Please see photos for the most accurate depiction.
These speakers sound as one would expect, for a speaker of this size from the 1990s. The low end frequency response is pretty powerful as the passive add to the punch, and likely no sub will be required. The midrange is very apparent, so the highs appear a bit subdued at lower volume, but come alive with some volume. I would recommend at least 40-50 watts (RMS) up to their stated limit of say 125 watts, wich in my humble opinion may be a bit high. Overall these would be a good party speaker, for the garage, rec-room or rooms that are a bit larger.
