Vanatoo Transparent One Powered Speakers 60 WPC RMS - Studio Monitors - These solidly built powered speakers (or Monitors) weigh in at a hefty 10-12 pounds/side. The 5-1/4 inch aluminum-cone woofers with their massive magnets are responsible for much of that weight. The boxes are sturdily constructed of thick 3/4 inch MDF. The 1" silk dome tweeters produce clear crisp highs and the 5.25″ Passive Radiators accentuate the lows (in fact down to 40hz!).
The Vanatoo Transparent One is a true audiophile speaker system. This is a multi purpose system, short of only the "source" material. The are a DAC, Amplifier (60 WPC), Preamp (ok well DAMP DSP Controller) and a set of high quality speakers in one system. For studio work, bedrooms, dorms, apartments, even a small listening room, these are ideal! For $250 you can get quality sound in a tiny package that is smaller than most speakers while providing bass extension down to the very upper 40hz! No need for a sub.
Condition: Fully tested by DALAUDIO (all modes) - this system is in full operating condition. Controls are all operational/clean. The grills are near perfect. The heavy cabinets both have marks on the top (please see photos) but otherwise are in very good overall condition. We priced them accordingly.

Notes about sound: After giving the Transparent One's a thorough workout on my own i was impressed. I listened to symphony, pop, jazz, rock, and even some tubular bells. Given that some rear tone adjustment was necessary based on type of music, I was still very impressed by this little set. It was after all Vantoos first release powered desktop speaker! Impressive.
