DBX-163X VCA Over Easy Compressor /Limiter Rack Pair

The 163X ads color as they are not transparent. They have a sound and personality of their own. Its very effective for bass guitar, electric guitar or keyboards. even voice etc. The 163 can also adding character as a parallel compressor. There is only one slider control to increase compression (soft knee type). The harder you push the unit, the harder the sound is compressed, from grade 1:1 to infinite (limit mode).
Controllers: It has only one slider pot for More and one potentiometer Gain or "Level Set" There is no bypass on the unit to allow you to hear the signal without compression.
Connections: At the front is a high impedance input for line instruments and at the rear a trim for the instrument input and one input and one output. The connectors are TS (not balanced) but I have used balanced (TRS) connectors with no issues. A stereo link connector to cascade two DBX163X to a linked stereo unit.
Mono/Stereo: The unit is a mono unit but can be cascaded with an additional DBX163X via a jack at the rear and a push button labeled master/slave
Power: There is a switch at the rear for 110V/240V. Power supply is internal which makes the rack a little less messy.
