EPI 100 Epicure 2 Way Speakers Tested Serviced and Working VGC/EXC condition
EPI Epicure Speakers EPI 100 2 Way 8" Woofer 1" Tweeter. Recent service / testing by DALAUDIO- 100% Original. The iconic EPI 100 speakers systems have a well deserved signature; full tight sound with an expansive low to mid advantage due to drivers and cabinet size. Simple but elegantly executed design, the crossover is a single 10uf Capacitor filtering lows from the tweeter, giving the speaker superior midrange for a 2 way design. The simple crossover design was less costly to manufacture and performed as well as the more complex and expensive speakers in the 1970s. If you're looking for a vintage "mid century" styled pair of loudspeakers that also perform excellent, these EPI A100's are ready to go! This pair has the tweeter level control EPI added in the early 1970s dating them to about 1974.
Condition: The woofers were recently reviewed and the butyl rubber inspected and cleaned by DALAUDIO, sound is excellent. Crossover caps were checked, are original and found to be in working order. The 8" Burhoe designed Drivers and 1" Air Sprung Inverted Dome Tweeters were hand made by EPI, and are also original. Overall the vinyl wood grain cabinets are in excellent condition with negligible signs of wear. They are in very very good condition. Cabinets are air tight as they should be. The original grills are included and in good usable condition, one is still removed for inspection and photos, (which I can install permanently while you wait about 10 min.) - no grill tears etc.
